Description
TNY280PN AC/DC Off-Line Switcher Converter from PDIP-8 IC Package. TinySwitchTM-III is an energy-efficient offline switcher with increased flexibility and a wider power range. consists of a 700V power MOSFET, an oscillator, a high-voltage switched current source, a current limit (user selectable), and thermal shutdown circuitry.
The IC family uses an ON/OFF control scheme and provides a design-flexible solution with a low system cost and high power capability. Chargers/adapters for cell/cordless phones, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3/portable audio, shavers, PC standby and other auxiliary supplies, DVD/PVR and other low power set-top decoders, appliances, industrial systems, and metering are all part of the application. ON/OFF control ensures constant efficiency even at low loads, making it ideal for mandatory CEC regulations and 1W PC standby requirements.
