Description
The SN74LVC1G79 component is a single D-type flip-flop that operates on positive-edge triggering and is designed for voltage levels ranging from 1.65 V to 5.5 V VCC. When the data at the D input meets the setup time requirement, it gets transferred to the Q output on the rising edge of the clock pulse. This clock triggering is based on voltage levels and is not directly tied to the speed at which the clock pulse rises. After a certain hold-time interval, changes to the data at the D input do not impact the output level. For applications involving partial power-down, this device is fully specified and features an Ioff mechanism. This Ioff circuitry deactivates the outputs when the device is powered down, preventing any reverse current flow into the device and thus safeguarding it from potential damage.
