Description
The UTC P2576 is a step-down (buck) switching regulator that can drive a 3A load. The UTC P2576 is simple since it just requires a small number of external components. It includes frequency correction and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The UTC P2576 can operate with ordinary inductors, simplifying the design of the switch-mode power supply. UTC P2576 ensures output load conditions and a 10% increase in oscillator frequency. It has an external shutdown and a standby current of 50uA. The output switch incorporates cycle by cycle current limitations in addition to thermal shutdown for complete protection under fault conditions.
