Description
The NXP PCF8574T Remote 8-Bit I/O Expander for I²C‑Bus with Interrupt is a CMOS silicon circuit. The two-line bidirectional bus (I2C) provides general-purpose remote I/O expansion for most microcontroller generations. The gadget has an 8-bit quasi-bidirectional port as well as an I2C bus interface. The PCF8574 features a low current consumption and latched outputs with high current drive capabilities for driving LEDs directly. It also has an interrupt line (INT) that can be connected to the microcontroller's interrupt logic. The remote I/O can notify the microcontroller if there is incoming data on its ports by sending an interrupt signal on this line instead of communicating over the I2C bus.
Features:
-
Operating supply voltage 2.5 to 6 V
-
Low standby current consumption of 10μA maximum
-
I2C to parallel port expander
-
