Description
This MQ-3 Alcohol gas sensor detects the concentration of alcohol gas in the air and produces an analogue voltage reading. Breathalyzers can detect concentrations ranging from 0.04 mg/L to 4 mg/L. The sensor operates in temperatures ranging from -10 to 50°C and draws less than 150 mA at 5 V. The heater creates the necessary working conditions for sensitive components. The enveloped MQ-3 has six pins, four of which are used to fetch signals and the other two to provide a heating current. The simple analogue voltage interface of the sensor requires only one analogue input pin from your microcontroller.
