Description
The three-pin positive voltage regulators LM78M05 include built-in current limiting‚ thermal shutdown‚ and safe operating area protection‚ making them almost immune to output overload damage. They can deliver more than 0.5-A output current with proper heat sinking. Local (on-card) regulators‚ for example, can avoid the noise and poor performance associated with single-point control.
