Description
The LM386 Audio Amplifier Module has a 10K adjustable resistance. It is intended for use in low-voltage consumer applications. The gain is by default set to 20 to keep the external part count low, but a resistor and capacitor connected to pins 1 and 8 will increase the gain to any value between 20 and 200. The inputs are grounded, and the output is automatically biassed to half the supply voltage. When powered by a 6-V supply, the quiescent power drain is only 24mW, making the LM386 ideal for battery operation.
