Description
The LM336 integrated circuits are shunt regulators with a precision of 2.5V. The monolithic IC voltage reference operates as a 2.5V Zener with a low-temperature coefficient and a dynamic impedance of 0.2W. The LM336 has a third terminal that allows the reference voltage and temperature coefficient to be easily trimmed. The LM336-2.5 is a precision 2.5V low voltage reference that can be used in digital voltmeters, power supplies, or OP-AMP circuitry. The 2.5V makes obtaining a stable reference from low voltage supplies simple. Furthermore, because the LM336-2.5 are shunt regulators, they can be used as a positive or negative voltage reference.
