The CD4094BE is a CMOS 8-stage Shift-and-Store Bus Register featuring a storage latch for each stage to facilitate the transfer of data from the serial input to parallel buffered 3-state outputs. Direct connection to common bus lines is enabled for the parallel outputs. Data is shifted during positive clock transitions. When the strobe input is high, data in each shift register stage moves to the storage register. The storage register's data appears at the outputs when the output-enable signal is high. For high-speed operation in cascaded systems with fast clock rise times, data is available at the QS serial output terminal on positive clock edges. Similarly, on the next negative clock edge, the Q'S terminal provides the same serial information, allowing for cascading CD4094BE devices in systems with slow clock rise times.
