Description
The AT89S52 is a popular 8-bit microcontroller manufactured by Atmel, which is now a part of Microchip Technology. It belongs to the 8051 family of microcontrollers and is widely used in various embedded systems and applications. The AT89S52 is based on the 8051 architecture, which includes a CPU, on-chip RAM and ROM, I/O ports, timers/counters, serial communication interface, and interrupt system. The AT89S52 has 8KB of on-chip Flash memory for program storage. It also has 256 bytes of on-chip RAM for data storage. The Flash memory can be reprogrammed using in-system programming (ISP) techniques. It provides four 8-bit I/O ports (P0, P1, P2, and P3) which can be used for interfacing with external devices such as sensors, displays, and other peripherals. Timers/Counters: It features two 16-bit timers/counters (Timer 0 and Timer 1) which can be used for various timing and control operations.
