Description
An alligator clip, sometimes called a crocodile clip, is a mechanical device with a spring-loaded alligator jaw. Its serrated metal jaws are utilised to make an electrical connection that is only momentary. Serrated jaws are forced to hold an object by a spring. To prevent short circuits, the device is insulated with plastic.
