Description
The high definition camera module is compatible with the Raspberry Pi model A and model B. Provides high sensitivity, low crosstalk and low noise image capture in an ultra-small and lightweight design. The camera module connects to the Raspberry Pi board via the CSI connector designed specifically for interfacing with cameras. The CSI bus is capable of extremely high data rates, and it exclusively carries pixel data to the BCM2835 processor. The 5MP Raspberry Pi Camera P5V04A Module Rev 1.3 comes with a flexible wire for connecting to a Raspberry Pi 3, making it ideal for tiny Raspberry Pi projects with limited space. Simply boot up the newest version of Raspbian and you're ready to go. The high-resolution 5MP camera not only takes great images but can also record video, making it ideal for drones or a CCTV project. Because of the modest weight of the camera module, it may be utilised in more practical applications such as a hidden camera or even a camera for a Pi-phone. This Raspberry Pi Camera Module is a custom-made Raspberry Pi add-on. One of the two little connections on the board's upper surface connects it to the Raspberry Pi. This interface employs the CSI interface, which was created specifically for connecting to cameras. The CSI bus can handle exceptionally high data rates and is only used to transport pixel data. The board itself is quite little, measuring 25x23x8mm. It also only weighs a little more than 3g, making it ideal for mobile or other applications where size and weight are critical. A short flexible ribbon wire links it to the Raspberry Pi. The camera communicates with the Raspberry Pi's BCM2835 processor through the CSI bus, a higher-bandwidth link that relays pixel data from the camera to the processor. This bus travels along the ribbon cable that attaches the camera board to the Pi.
The sensor itself features a fixed-focus lens and a native resolution of 5 megapixels. The camera can capture static photographs with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and can also record video at 1080p 30fps, 720p 60fps, and 640x480p 60/90 frames per second.
There are no adapters required! This camera will connect directly to the camera port of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model A and Model B
